To the west of the Saber Mountains lies an impressive, diverse wilderness. Closer to the mountain's side it is a land of rock, hill, and tree that gives way to forests, rivers, lakes, and the occasional abandoned human settlements from small homesteads to towns and villages. There is a relatively small ancient city to the south as well that tends to attract humans due to its picturesque old-world style and relatively intact structures and mild climate.

No New Posts Saber Mountains

This mountain range cuts between the Cathedral Wilds to the east and the Zarya Lowlands to the west. It is a land of treacherous beauty and mystery, with extensive cave systems and waterfalls. The eastern faces of the range are not as verdant due to less rainfall but there are many hot springs tucked away there, while the western faces are more prone to rainfall and tree growth. Many of the taller peaks are covered in snow year round.

No New Posts Zarya Lowlands

To the east of the Saber Range run the Zarya Lowlands, Zarya meaning 'dawn' in Russian. It's a fitting name for the vast stretches of grassland that greet the golden dawn. Southwards there are many waterways, woodlands, and swampy areas. To the north lies a large manmade jungle of concrete and steel named Samara City where crumbling architecture makes for dangerous footing. The extensive underground metro system is even deadlier, but many brave its semi-collapsed tunnels for furtive travel.

Though they and their lands may appear enigmatic and harsh to the outside eye, what goes on in the inner-workings of both the territory and hearts of its inhabitants is something much warmer.
